While living down in Texas over the summer with my aunt and uncle, I was very close to the Texas Motor Speedway. You could occasionally hear the sound of racing cars from their backyard and if you had binoculars could see the cars racing on the mega screen at the track. Even though I don't care for Nascar or anything, I was inspired to write this poem. There is a sign at the entrance to the race track that reads "No Limits, Texas" and I thought how it can be applied to life. No matter the challenge or the struggle, don't let anyone or anything get in the way of your dreams. You can achieve what you want if you press the gas and turn at the correct time on this race track called life.

Welcome to the land of no limits.

The place where a rush enters every soul.

There is an urge, a need to go fast.

To break the false barriers guarding you.

Strap in your seat and grip the wheel.

Turn the key and hear your engine rev up.

The green flag flies through the blue Texas sky.

Your heart launches as you rocket forward.

100 mph.

There is a pounding in your chest as you turn those tight curves.

The roaring engine drives your soul.

As you burn rubber on the hot asphalt.

There is no one around to watch,

to challenge you.

You are unstoppable as you turn every bend;

undefeatable as you pass every mile.

You cannot be slowed down as you rush by.

Miles fly past as seconds become minutes.

You speed along, a mile a minute.

Racing down the track of life;

taking the lead on the raceway of your existence.
