(I'd like to say…)

I want to feel the radiation in space, which is to say I want to feel champagne bubbles dance on my retinas the way that comets dance across the sky, which is to say I want to be flying forward with little thought to what lies ahead because ahead is not a mystery but a frightfully familiar unknown, which is to say I want to be hidden in the stacks of a used bookstore in south philadelphia, which is to say I want to be silent safe diffused in abandoned universes, which is to say I'd like nurse what is within me and find the energy of a star's birth, which is to say a star's decay, which is to say it's all the same because that decay is somehow life still, which is to say energy still, which is to say I want to be a fungus, which is to say you cannot kill me in any way that matters, which is a quote from the internet but I can't remember from where, which is to say I can't remember much at all, which is to say I remember the way feathers know to love the breeze, which is to say I'd like to return to a womb's embrace, which is to say I'd like to know nothing at all.
