If she lured you with her flame,

Setting you ablaze with her fire;

If the truth of her bruised soul

Brought the truth of yours too near,

And she threatened your blissful sleep with her ire...

Then recognize her

And have no fear.

She is not the enemy,

She is only a mirror.

A disciple of the shadows from the very start,

She never had the luxury of avoiding the dark.

Those souls still trapped,

Enslaved to their demons,

Upon seeing this sight

Their plight they bemoan.

For she sits before them,

Reveling in freedom,

Sitting brazenly astride

The backs of her own.

She faced down those demons,

And by herself, all alone,

She harnessed their power

And reclaimed her throne.

She rises now from the shadows,

Sovereign ruler of her lair,

Challenging those witnesses

With a truth some cannot bear:

Hell lies WITHIN each of us,

It’s always right there.

In the bright light of this truth,

Still unwilling to see,

Some may turn hostile,

While others might flee.

But enslaved they will remain,

Still sadly unaware,

They must face down their demons

Or stay imprisoned forever.

Now this Queen of Chaos

rules alone;

The Darkness Her Mistress,

Her Truth as Her Throne.
