I am a puppy, hear me snore,
Let out to pee, I'm scratch at the door

Once back inside, come on, let's play ball
You throw, I'll fetch, I'm sorry, that's all,

For I ain't got arms to throw it myself, see,
If I did I you wouldn't be a need for me

Sorry 'bout your lamp, 'oops,' shattered mess,
I sort of knocked it over wagging my tail I guess

But please don't be angry, don't go and shout,
I didn't mean it -- there is no doubt.

I'll lay in the heat when you light the fire,
the hottest spot is the one to which I aspire.

You've got to admit that with me there's more fun,
as I give you a wash with my very long tongue.

I'll guard you all through each and every night
and you'll get to see I'm a canine delight.

Thanks, Mike. It was good to write something a bit lighter!
