Just some thoughts about mailers.

Every election cycle is always the same old thing, piles of mailed election material that tell me nothing truthful about the issues at hand. They do tell me what They want me to believe, however, little of it is factual, or accurate.

I have real issues with this type of advertisements because there is so much of it that it clogs the US Mail delivery schedules and my delivered mail arrives late every day.

As for the material, For or Against, a certain Candidate; well, I don't know about you, but I don't want to read an add that sounds like a promotion for the 2nd coming of Christ, or the return of Satin from the Abyss. State your case and keep it simple, that's what I like.

One add that comes to mind, stated, "Mr. "X", your esteemed senator, has seen four years of balanced budgets with no tax hicks, while his opponent has done nothing to help you!

Sounds like a slam-dunk for Mr. "X". Right?

Well, the facts were, Mr. "X" voted four times to raise taxes to balance the yearly budgets, in each case he was out-voted by other senators.

And the reason his opponent did nothing to help voters was because she was in the military serving her country, she was not in state politics. --- Hmm?

Like I said, "Every election cycle is always the same old thing, piles of mailed election material that tell me nothing truthful about the issues at hand."

Oh well, I have one reason not to be concerned about my mail being late, or all that money being spent on untruthful and seldom read adds; when it is all over, the bottom of my Bird Cage will be very well lined for quite some time.
