Just One Little Case

How cruel could life be

Had she done something bad,

Why did they go

And leave feelings so sad.

Just one little case

That was made very clear,

But all that she owned

To her was so dear.

She wanted them back

And needed to grieve,

But her case she must pack

And quickly to leave.

She knew they had gone

But didn’t know why,

With a trembling lip

She started to cry.

Alone on her bed

Her teddy held tight,

She tried to brave

With all of her might.

Into one case

Her life wouldn’t go,

But care they did not

With no mercy to show.

So she took what she could

The rest left behind,

Memories of sadness

Her vision to blind.
