The Children Do Play

At mummy and daddy

The children do play,

To the delight of their mummy

And daddy to say

To their mummy who watches

Her children at play,

‘We must be good parents

To teach them this way’

For both brother and sister

Do copy them so

In the way that they play

As in years they do grow,

And they look to their parents

Both watching them play

At mummy and daddy

In a most grown up way,

Daddy comes over

And kisses each one

And looks to their mummy

Who joins in the fun,

For their children they love

And always are there

To join in their games

And show them they care.
