Fallen Angels

The sun,

it’s sinking

low in the sky,

back-lighting the

endless silhouettes

of fallen angels.

In slanted light

the shadows rise,

an incandescent blue

to cut through

all distraction.

They are focussed

on one thing -

hunting

for me.

Thanks, Mike. Inspired by a book that I was reading.

I guess that's true. Couldn't be me, so in other words this is not a personal poem. It was inspired by a book that I'd been reading.
