Many, many moons ago I wrote this when I was at my lowest.

I am a mutant

I see things that aren't there

The voices tell me so....

I should be locked up

I shouldn't procreate

Who is really scared here?

I am a mutant

People are afraid of me because of what I see

I cannot hold a job

I cannot drive a car

But they cannot touch a strand of my hair?

I am a mutant

I am not in the hospital because of drugs

Because I fell

I wear the blue outift; not because I like it

I am a mutant

People are scared of me?

I'm friendly

I'm kind

The voices tell me so

Who is really scared here?

"Who is really scared here?" I love how small this line is and how well-emphasized it is. Great poem! I hope you're doing much better now.
