Can you see me now

Now that I’ve stepped out from behind your shadow

Now that I realize it’s time to go

No more, will I say one day when

I am now ready to begin

Did you think I was going to let you win

You won’t see me now

 I’ve decided to walk away

There is nothing that will make me stay

No more, do I care what you think

I will land on my feet

You never thought I would take that leap

I see it all now

I allowed myself to get lost

I have no more patience to exhaust

No more, will you ignore my feelings

You no longer are you in charge of my heart strings

I can’t keep on doing the same things

I see clearly who you are now

You are not what’s best for me

From you I need to be set free

No more, it’s only your turn

I was never any of your concern

This is a lesson I’ve finally learned

Do you see the difference now

It’s time to get out on my own

My dependence on you I can no longer condone

No more, will I allow you to hold me back

It feels good to give up the act

Our time together now fades to black

Can you see me now
