The roughness in your eyes

Expands and swells-

So the tears in my eyes

Spring up too well!

And oh your hands

Getting colder’ unkind

If you hold me close

I don’t lose my mind!

Let me not forget

Discourse your mouth

That is going lethal

I want to talk about!

The words you say

Don’t hit me hard

The way you say

They wreck my heart!

Bland is your presence

Weak is my soul

I’d come to nothing

If you don’t text n call!

Stop being rude

I don’t want to say

My breakdown be the end

If you won’t stay!

Shush me now

For the muse gone mad

Cuz the words I’m writing

Were merely gagged!

Love is choking

My throat’s sensing vile

This existence seems loathsome

And emotions are dying!

How could a poet

Be so downcast

His heart is big

And his world so vast?

Of course, the roughness in your eyes

The coldness of your hands

Is all disheartening

How’d I make you understand?
