Magic Words

Once upon

a long, long time

words decided

they could rhyme.

They jumped about

upon the page

to bring some joy

to any age.

They spoke of mice

that really talked,

of houses that

got up and walked.

Those words they told

of the high seas

and brought adventure

just to please.

For girls and boys

that loved magic

those little rhymes

performed a trick.

They found their home

inside a book

so open up

then take a look.

And in just a little

tiny while

you’re going to find

you have to smile!

A fun read. And Actually, this might make a good kids book with lots of bright pictures.

I'd love to be able to illustrate but I have no artistic talent whatsoever. Thanks so much for giving this a read.

The words and sentencing had a bouncy tone to it. Very lyrical.
