Learning something.

I can't get over the likes of it

A Leprechaun is a Fairy

Or so they say in a historical way

From Deny to County Kerry.

And I've been told that they favor Green

But it seems they are partial to Red

On a Square-cut coat laced with Gold

And a Cocket Hat upon their head.

It is true, I say! I read it somewhere

Or a Flanagan story is leading me on.

Flanagan's my friend and a Clurichaun,

A lazy cousin of the Leprechaun.

They like to drink, those Clurichauns,

And they've been known to haunt Cellar and Bar.

But mainly at night when everyone's tight

And when few will notice how small they are.

Well it doesn't matter about Leprechauns

Or that Fairies come, with or without wings.

What matters is, I learned something new,

Even fantasy stuff and magical things.

So open a book, or research a topic,

And travel to lands that you've never seen

Then discuss it at length with a friend or two

Doesn't matter their color, even green.

Lear a little something every day, it is a better way. When you think you know it all, think again.
