Held up from the prose book, titled shades; can be read backwards

That’s to be expected when you are planning your escape

Still holding on to the past as a reminder to never look back.

Plotting and hiding behind every bush waiting to pounce on your next venture.

Seething underneath that smile, that facade

Who are you when you are closed in?

Against a wall with nothing left but you and a cracked mirror

Tears as you make your way through that terminal, Uber Lyft waiting to drive you into an unknown.

Watching in silence to exact energy

Waiting with patience to live out your innermost self with the organs to match.

Those hopes you had when all you could count on is your dreams, who knew they’d be your reality
