The poetess describes a November Morning as she sees it from her bedroom window

A Beautiful November Morning

Oh! What a beautiful November morning!

Oh! What a beautiful November morning!

The clear sky is a tinge of blue and orange

The white fluffy clouds float around tirelessly

Drawing patterns – some known, some so strange

The sun smiles from the east – a red-orange ball

Its soft warm rays pulling the world out from the dark night stall

The faint, shy moon waves a goodbye, ready to go

“See you tonight”, she whispers while taking a final bow

The birds fly high, circling the sky

Chirping and tweeting with all might

The sprightly squirrels run down the branches

Treating the eyes to a joyful sight

Sitting on a sloping, red-tiled roof,

To this wake-up call, as a tiny black bird listens

The warm yellow rays on its small body

Make it dazzle, shine and glisten

The leaves rustle with the occasional cool breeze,

Through the trees, as it blows

It brings with it an intoxicating aroma

Of some distant sunflower and rose

Standing at my window,

As I enjoy the morning in its full bloom

My heart sings a loud joyous song

That takes away all gloom

I sense a warm gratitude deep within

How wonderful is your creation, Oh Lord!

My hands bend into a fold saying

Thank you God! Thank you God! Thank you God!
