Harvest My Soul

Numb my mind,

heart, body,

and soul

with your rawboned

grip.

Never let me go.

Swathe me

in the artic

dispassionate

duvet

that is the wrinkled

woman’s

moribund glow.

Cloak my

eyes

and shadow my

ears

until all is

vacant

and everything is

transparently

clear.

Finally,

reap my limitless

immaterial

and let it dissipate,

like a snowflake

in the sea.

Maybe then

I

can finally be

free.
