My whipping boy muse has been voted out,
Now the subject is what I can to write about?

Trying to get refocused in my ire and disgust,
There's got to be something, there must I trust

I expect profanities before he steps aside
So all is not fixed with the incoming blue tide

No longer will he have a lock on the bully stage
To vent his spleen in delusional divisive rage,

But he will take to the airways and continue
Attacking on normal as he purges his hatred of blue

Inciting violence to save himself, kicking and screaming,
Like a small child, his childish brain won't stop scheming

The relief the world felt with his thank God defeat
Won't last, there's much more to do until he is truly beat

Did you mean for this poem to repeat? Oh well, I like the cadence of it. I know we will find something else to lament. We always do. ;-)

Consider this: Maybe the real problem is the voters. Why is it that they vote in a president, then they don't vote for the Senators or Congresspeople that will support that president's goals? --- Regardless of how some people think, a president is not a dictator. And without the backing from both houses, not a lot gets done. --- Why they do that is a real head scratcher.

There is a train of thought that people don't want unlimited power concentrated with one party, so that party can't force their idea of direction of everything they want down our throats. Thank goodness we democrats controlled the house, but now days it often means gridlock.
