Seeing the autumn leaves float through the air while traveling on a beautiful country highway was very inspiring to write about.

Four, five, six,
the leaves fall down betwixt,

and none around to hear.

Red, yellow, auburn hues,
do leaves still fall if no one sees?

Curves a glorious path of gold
leading to the end.

Wind blows and carries what flies,
do leaves still fall if no one sees?

The carriage carries us away
to no longer watch what floats.

Do leaves still fall if no one sees?
