Clouded Judgement
What little faith I had
in my judgement
has been
eaten away.
Eroded by mistakes
of which
the consequences
could so easily have been
devastating.
How can I trust myself
to make the call
between critical
or not at all
when the signs prove to be
way beyond
my understanding?
Please,
rely on your own instincts
for mine
they’re off the scale
with a reading of
less than zero
for accuracy.
My judgement,
clouded,
flawed
and worthless
will be muted,
left unspoken
and held right where it belongs -
safe inside
my mind.

Sad but excellent, Hull
Wed, November 11th, 2020 10:03pmFor me being tall, I always feel me head in the clouds. Ha! Payback for telling me you were told to drink more coffee to sleep better. Ha! You slipped that one by me in my morning starter long ago. As long as them clouds are not lowalking hanging... you won't get lost in them and end up in a bog. Don't worry, we all have been there. At least you realize it, since many don't, which is worse. I may sound I am still clouded in judgement, but mostly just voicing ways to question, as it's more interesting than being stuck one way or the other.

I think we go through bouts of doubt all the time, but in the end our nature wins out either for good or ill. I do think a lot about holding my tongue though. My mother always taught me not to speak if I didn't have anything good to say. I appreciate those teachings because you never know what your negativity can do as our words are powerful.
