Short mysterious story

It was Halloween night and me and my friends all dressed up as the Scooby Doo cast.

We all decided to go back to my house for a Halloween party where we would dance, play truth or dare and best of all, just have fun!

Whilst we were dancing my friend shouted out "WHO WANTS TO PLAY TRUTH OR DARE?"

Everybody at the party all joined in because why not?

We were all laughing and joking around until my friend Zoe the one who shouted out let's play truth or dare, said "ok my go".

She looked around and smirked, then all of a sudden she points at me and says "Tiffany I dare you to go knock on the grumpy neighbours door"

You might think well that's not bad, but see, this neighbour hates everyone and when I mean everyone, I mean EVERYONE!

This neighbour hates Halloween the most and he would do anything for it to stop. Obviously I said yes because I am not a scaredy cat, even though I was shaking inside.

I go outside and start walking over to the grumpy neighbours house while all my friends filmed me (eye roll).

All I could hear was little children trick or treating. I finally made it over to the neighbours house and I was full of goosebumps.
I slowly rise my fist and begin to knock. I stood there waiting for something to happen but it didn't.

I turned around facing my friends on the other side of the road and shrug my shoulders until I heard blinds open from behind me.

I quickly turn around and looked up and all I could see was this tall skinny black figure standing by his window.
I squint my eyes to get a closer look and BANG! He leans over his window whilst shaking his walking stick yelling "GET OFF MY LAWN".

I run back into my house shaking of fear whilst my friends comfort me.

The old man slammed his window shut and turns around while slowly walking into pitch black.

We've never seen him again.

Intriguing story, which really sums up the kind of shenanigans kids can get to during festive occasions. Also choosing to dress up as Scooby-Doo characters is such a classic, so kudos for that!

It's a nice build-up to the end of the story. Definitely a nice read, good job.

Very good story to tell on a spooky night. Fall is the time of year when ghouls, ghosts and goblins appear.
