Tried to understand but it’s meaningless
Happiness or anguish nothing to differentiate
Afraid that he’ll concede and succumb to his own made- destiny
The proud rose is losing its true meaning
These torn wings will never make it to where he is
Flying with it anyway, to sit on the edge of a skyscraper
Seeing the city lights and sunlight shading into purple don’t know why
Seeing the twilight fall into ocean sky painting;
Exactly as Van Gogh had painted starry night from his memory
Escaping this pain that has tied my hands and feet and put me to deep sleep
Burn my heart, steal my soul for I can’t touch you no more
Been out of my ways only to understand love is not something to fill in your shortcomings
