The girl with the crooked smile

The one who makes me want to stop the world for a little while;

so I can bake her birthday cake and stay awake staring at her sleep

Her gifts are the only ones I want to keep

The girl with the messy hair,

suddenly makes me think about what I wear and if I stare

What does it mean if she tells me I have pretty eyes?

Because all I can think about is… what if she’s only into guys?

Reflections are lies

When I look in the mirror, I see inside my stomach a million rainbow butterflies

they dance around to indie pop and starve for every drop of that bitter-sweet affection

Eventually they dare to dream and call it love, looking to the stars above for their protection

I want to tell you

…that you mean the world to me, but in your world, I’m not around

…that you’re simply lost and I can help, but you don’t want to be found

…that he’s using you, but now I’m using him as an excuse

…that you have the right to live without me, but I only feel alive when I have you to lose

Do you feel the same at all or is it all the same to you?
