A Booksie hero has been chosen to fight on the Last Day.

Part one

The buses parked up. Engines switched off. The streets became empty and desolate. I wandered around lonely and dismayed. Despair began to grow in my mind. On this mild afternoon the world I knew had stopped.

The sky above turned deathly grey. No clouds held rain. This was dry vapour of doom. I has no idea what to do. Worst of all, the air was running out. Oxygen was being poisoned by ignorance. Reports mentioned the lack of trees and fauna in cities around the globe.

I had to turn to my many stories. I had created many heroes and villains, in my attempt to be a great writer. All my new ideas were gone. Could I bring a character to life? To help to save the Earth from humanity.

The Virus zombies had taken a quarter of the human race. Global warming was seriously taking hold. Former President Trump was hiding in secret bunker. Only his family with him. All Governments cancelled all talks with the UN. A third of the world was unemployed. With trees and buildings falling all around.

The missions to the Moon and Mars were scrapped. Pollution was increasing rapidly. The men in the space station had to evacuate in the emergency pod. Or stay in orbit and starve. No Superman could save us now. The devil and saints had given up too.

I had to do something. In a vision I was told, a hero I had created, could save us all. On the Last Day...

Is this meant to be a prologue? It feels like you're setting up an interesting sci-fi story :)
