If you passed me by!
brushed against me
In the crowd,
I am almost certain I
Would miss thee—
For I am bowed,
And aged now—
You’d have to call my name
in the voice I knew so deeply,
for me to know it was the same
girl I loved so sweetly—
But that is not likely,
as our boats were drowned,
And lost forever out at sea—
We shall not be found—
But I shall think of thee,
at the bottom of the ocean ground.

A bittersweet poem, beautifully presented. The drawing really complimented the words.
