This vignette depicts night in the Scottish highlands.

Following the Moon

an unpainted sky
pales to gradients of gray—
the moon veils her face
and glides on silver slippers
into frosted highland hills

What a beautiful little poem. You described it so well and I could just picture this moon over the hills. It was really lovely.
