Fearless stems from having reached the point of no return,

By wasting endless moonlit nights on what you only yearn;

When you decide you’ve too much pride to tremble as a feather,

So you build guards... only to realize they aren’t immune to weather.

Fearless stems from being driven into madness and despair,

Of letting your heart leap and therefore leaving your soul bare.

But how long could the hourglass keep turning in your mind?

A lack of clear decisions won’t direct you into stride.

Fearless stems from having walked before on a loose thread,

And being once an open book that so many misread.

You can’t decode your tender heart to those who ain’t amused,

But you will find your tribe, and they will recognize your truth.

Fearless stems from calm, but know that rivers don’t stagnate.

They fall into the enveloping, wise embrace of fate.

Into the deeper lakes will they synchronically glide,

And suddenly, all fears are nothing but reflected light.

Wow! This is a very powerful, deep poem. A few of my favorite lines are:
"letting your heart leap and therefore leaving your soul bare". What a great description of making oneself vulnerable.
And "...an open book that so many misread" I love this idea.
Nice work! Write On!

Oh my god! This is soo good. I loved the way you used different poetic devices (I mean so many of them) and your sentence structure is very intricate as pearls and also, it really reflects how much time and effort you spent on this piece to bring out and spend your creativity on this. By reading your poem, I think it corresponds to the poems of some other famous poets given in textbooks. Amazing! Totally loved it.
