Two people wondering who the other is.

She stood in the rain willing herself to just talk to him. Peering in through the smudged Perspex window, she could see he was laughing and smiling with his two workmates. She smiled, glad that he was happy, at least in that moment.

Just as she turned away, he turned towards the same window. He wondered about her, seeing her everywhere he looked - even in his dreams. At first, he thought she wasn’t real, just someone in a dream he once had. But he kept on dreaming about her that she’d seeped into his consciousness. Now he couldn’t get her out of his mind. He had to know though, where had she first come from.

She’d walked away from the window, as the rain started to hit hard against the whole building. He wondered whether he should run out to see if she was still around. He sighed, not knowing what to do for the best. One of his workmates noticed and asked “you alright mate...?”, bringing him back to his own whereabouts.

“Yeah, yes thanks", he answered with a heavy sigh. He looked up and out of the window again. He gave a slight smile. She’ll be back, he thought.
