So much has been lost at a fast pace, and at a grand scale. The microcosm of one's life is too big to notice, which allowed for such loss.

At one time we had our dreams
Some sky high, others not enough
Later in life, it's not what it seems
Caught between never growing up

So eager to reach for new heights
Never happy with what's in your cup
The answer you sought, within city lights
Discovered late, what was once given up

Believing that things will always be
No turning back, pages lost by time
The lost, now your augmented reality
A hollow recreation of a past, left behind
