On August 7th, 1974, three members of Congress, Hugh Scott of Pennsylvania, Barry Goldwater and John Rhodes, both from Arizona, all Republicans went to see President Nixon.

The four men had a meeting in the working office of The White House.

The three members from Congress did not come out to Nixon and say that he should resign. They just wanted to let Nixon know that he was losing support among the Republicans in Congress, and the people of the United States.

August 9th, 1974, President Nixon resigned as President.

In 2020, isn't there any members of the Republican Party in Congress who can have a talk with President Trump and say to him that it's over, the votes have been counted, the people have made their choise.

Put the country, the people ahead of you. Accept the results, and begin the transfer of power.

Mitch McConnell.....

Ted Cruz.....

Marco Rubio.....

Or are you still drinking the kool aid that Trump has been handing out?

Your correct. Article in Washington Post about Republican Party might become more authoritarian. Thanks for reading.
