Fear follows in letting go and moving on.

She longs to fly within the depths of the sky.

Always seeking wings to one day fly.

Finally, finding gossamer wings

She relishes in delicate feathers intricate with opal rings

Gazing towards the stars she is ablaze with desire

Taking flight, the sky revels as her eyes admire

Love deeply rooted for the sky

She lies in its embrace

But pain grips her heart, riddled inside

Truth hits and she can no longer deny

That she does not belong

To the sky she so loves

She’s’ brought down by grief inside

her crestfallen heart cries to the skies

A reminder of another that holds its place

So, memories come alive

Of someone she once loved.

And though she loves the sky,

She could not belong

And so, she is expunged

Torn apart

Loving two, but belonging to none

Now she lies in the ground

Staring endlessly at the choice she is bound.

Though she tries to decide, pain follows

And fear comes to swallow

Everything she is, since she failed to utter

The sky or the other.

Her mind tears apart

Pain thrives in her heart

Always yearning, never deciding

That were love once lived, fear now resides.
