Chatting away with my friend Marie-Louise.

I was chatting with Marie-Louise not long ago. She had come out of the automatic place where you can get all sort of food to eat. ''Aren't you working today?'' She asked, as she tucked into what she had bought. I said to her, '' I have a couple of days off. You fancy coming with me for a walk?''
''Hold on one,'' she said, ''I'll go and ask my mum. Be back in a bit.'' She threw the wrapper that had the food in it into the bin, then went away. She wasn't living far away, so I waited. In 15 minutes she was back. ''Mum says, 'yes, it's okay. But I must be back at a certain time!''

Marie-Louise was a young pretty girl just 21 years old. Full of fun, she was, and like to ask many questions about life. We found a nice park after half an hour walk, and we sat down on a bench. I turn to her and said, ''I've never really seen you with boys, have you got no interest?''
''That?'' She looked at me, and said, ''There's no rush there. I've got all the time in the world.''
''Time,'' I told her, ''can run away from you. It flows on its own course, and you are the one who has to keep in time.''

''What is this life really all about? She asked. ''Some people say that everything is already planned for you, all you have to do is step in and play your part. Do you believe that that is so?''
''Life is what you yourself make it. Like you're talking to me now. If you don't want to, you can go away. You're the one who makes the decisions, apart from those who run the country.''
''I don't think I want to have a boyfriend now. I'll just wait and see.
''Don't wait too long. Find the right one, get married, have children, and then die.'' I told her.
''Is that all? Nothing else? Well, I'll think about it!''
''You do just that.'' I said to her, and if you die I'll come and wake you up.''
''How can you do that? She asked. ''Is that been done to everyone?''

The end.
