Maybe you are waiting not for the perfect moment to arrive, tied in a ribbon and left at your door - but simply for the moment your perfectionist tendency expires.

Maybe the negative voice inside gives in not to resistance, but to composure. You may discover that voice is not an enemy, it’s the friendliest of songs that has accidentally been played in reverse.

Maybe when your wings feel clipped, therefore disturbing your flight, the time devoted to healing will bring you the realization...

that you can also swim.

I love this. It's a beautiful way to describe optimism, or at least taking things in from a different perspective. :)

Keeping can open mind can make one see a different solution, and be more optimistic about it. I find your writing clever in showing a problem but also being open minded about finding a solution to overcome it. A very clever piece. Your wording is a joy to read. I'll definitely be reading more :)
