A short thing to help you on the black days

I take a brave breath as i inhale the twilight air,

contemplating,

sadly,

the darkness of the world,

the sun that sets,

all too often.

i feel a few rebellious tears slip down.

i let them be,

allow them to sting my face.

Rough from the harsh years

of my life.

although i am,

only too young...

but i comfort myself with the knowledge,

that it will rise up again.

bright as ever,

even as i cannot imagine it shning brightly,

within the dark.

i know it will,

sunrise,

even in the sunset.
