One Enormous Hug

I’m going to gather them together,

all the things that bring me joy.

And maybe there will be a tear in my eye

as I look around and take them in

then reach out,

arms spread wide...

and I’ll wrap them,

envelop them,

pull them close

in what must surely be

the world’s largest ever... hug!

(Thankfulness. Taboo words: thankful, grateful, thoughtfulness, family, celebration)

Haha! How to write a Thanksgiving poem without so many of the normal words, and without ever having Thanksgiving was a real challenge.
