Troubled Sky

The sky looks troubled,

angry and grey,

if the sun did appear

it sped quickly away.

The rain pours down

as though the sky weeps,

like teardrops through eyelids

that constantly seeps.

The ground, it is spattered,

the water it pools

and any enjoyment

so swiftly cools.

The sky is reflecting

the thoughts in my head,

on a day when I should have

just stayed in bed.

Great short poem. And I agree, in bed on a rainy day is best for the soul.

Love it! Nothing like a rainy day for curling up in bed with a book ...or a writers journal.

Been there. I really like the flow of this one. Nature often reflects our disposition, and visa versa

It does, or at least that's how we see it. Thanks, SB!

The gears in your brain with the rain just barely function, definitely one to relate to

Thanks, Kenan. What with the cold and the rain it certainly can be a struggle.
