have you ever been waiting for your food at home but it is taking too long? this poem reflects that.

Hungry Bellies by Robert Price

When we all gather down the stairs to eat,

We all wait patiently sat in our seats,

Never fully knowing what we will scran,

Be it some chicken or savory ham.

Mother says it won't be much longer now,

Although, my niece is now having a cow --

She's sick and she's tired of waiting all day,

She would much rather go outside to play.

"But it won't be long!" We've heard that before,

Waiting this long is becoming a chore,

We're going to row, we're going to fight,

Oh, I do hope we are eating tonight.

Now the food is here, we're going to eat,

Suddenly, mother trips over her feet,

Dropping all the grub all over the floor,

It looks like we are now waiting some more.
