celebrating writing water and time

The  Book of Water

water

flowing

weaving

around stone punctuation

paper leaves

falling one by one

gather in pools and eddies

edging the stream of consciousness

the book begins late in the afternoon

this one day with a paragraph

floating across golden ripples

a paragraph glowing in softly brilliant phrases

until the last rays

pull the fleeting glint

away and further down

into the deeper undercurrents

of the night
