Hey black cat
Why is my screen door heavy to push
Oh...your leaning against it
Resting on my step, the rising sun warming your furry black body
If you would move, I could feed you
As I open the metal door
You rub up against the edge of the door over and over
You get off the step, stretch and yawn
I put food in your dish, water in your bowl
What's this
You left a dead bird at my door
How thoughtful of you
After all the dead mice you left at my door
You are changing gifts that you bring
But please you don't have to
Really....its not necessary
Looking at me with those green eyes
What are you thinking of
What goes through your mind
Go eat, then prowl around the property
Up into the woods to wander about
Only to find you again on my step
When I come home to feed you again
What is that in your mouth
It looks like spaghetti
No....you have a small snake in your mouth
Black cat...what am I going to do with you

Mon, December 14th, 2020 1:29amI am owned by two silver and white felines. They are Feline Herpes Positive so are quarantined for life but so much of this one describes things they do indoors. My gifts are not alive but they are gifts none the less. One likes to groom my forehead and the other likes to nuzzle me.
