Silver Sands Restaurant and Gift Shop

My dad's restaurant in Destin, Florida, opened at 4:00 a.m. to accommodate the boat captains, deck hands, and their charters. There was usually a standing line at the door. Turnover was the name of the game. Dad would put fast country clogging music on the stereo, with the volume set maybe one notch too loud. It was funny to watch the customers wolf down their food and buck step out the door. Next!
