One day me and my friend Francis decided that we were going to go camping, and since this was our first time camping we didn’t really know what to bring beside tents and food. We chose a very secluded spot in the woods hoping to be undisturbed. We got to the spot late at night and decided to sleep in the car that night because it was so dark.

The next day after setting up our tent we went exploring just so we knew the surrounding area, not knowing when we would get back we brought flashlights and some Nature Valley bars. Judging the direction of the sun we decided it was seven thirty when we started heading back but on the way there we saw an abandoned cabin and decided to check it out. When we got in it we knew that something was off, not just because the vibe the cabin gave off, but because of these strange symbols painted on the walls, and I could have sworn I heard something.

We got back to the tent and decided to eat and go to sleep, which is what we did, but I couldn get the sound out of my head, it sounded like whispering and screaming. After a while I fell asleep but I didn’t sleep long.

I woke up around three a.m. according to my watch and for some reason there was a loud buzzer followed by a young woman's voice saying, “This is an emergency broadcast, please remain indoors, this is not a drill, repeat, this is not a drill.”. The next sound shook me because we were nowhere near Chicago and it was a Chicago tornado siren.

“Hey dude wake up.”, I whispered.

“Three more minutes.”, Francis slurred.

I threw his bag at him and he darted up basically yelling “I’m up”

“Shut up! Do you hear that?”

“Yeah isn’t that--Wait isn’t Chicago that way?”, he asked, pointing what I could only assume was East.

“I’ll go check it out.”, he said, grabbing a machete.

After thirty minutes or so he wasn’t back so I decided that I’m gonna go look for him, and this is the worst decision I have ever made to this day.

I grabbed a flashlight and went the direction I assumed he went since that is where the noise was coming from, it was the same direction as the cabin, which made me feel worse.

I was almost to the cabin and had decided a while back to check it out as soon as I got there. When I finally got there I knew something was different, mainly because of the strange glowing coming from inside the cabin. Going inside reminded me of my days as an FBI agent, it was one of my biggest busts.

I had been assigned to look into some occult activity in Boston, but it didn’t go according to plan. As I was about to make the final step and arrest them all I got pulled back and told to join the cult as an undercover operative, so I did as I was told. I waited for months to get my next orders, and I finally did on July 16th, 1993. I was told to overthrow the leader and because I was the new leader I had to tell them to turn themselves in.

That was two years ago and now as I was walking back into the cabin I realized what the symbols on the wall were, satanic. The light was coming from farther in the cabin, so I checked and saw where the ritual had happened, but saw no trace of anyone.

Then I heard the siren again, and Francis saying something but it was jumbled and incoherent. I took one step towards the door and saw trees that weren’t there before, and Fancis’ machete was in one of them. Something reached down and plucked it out then took a step forward, and another, and another. I looked up and what I saw horrifies me to this day. Instead of a head this creature had two sirens, and the creature itself was at least forty feet tall, and even though it had no eyes it was staring at me.

I was terrified so I ran, but this creature was so tall that one step is the distance of a football field. I ran all the way back to the camping spot, got in my car and drove. Two hours later I was walking, because my car ran out of gas. I knew that there was a highway a distance back, but the creature was behind me so that was not an option. A few feet ahead of me there was a sign it said that there was a lake two in a half football fields ahead. It seemed like the only option so I kept walking that way.

A few minutes later I heard a thud. I stopped wondering what it was. Thud, thud, thud. It was getting louder too. Thud, thud, thud. Finally the horrible truth as to what it was hit me. I turned and ran as fast as I could towards the lake. I didn’t know how the creature had found me. That thing must have had a way to pick up its victim's scent. I ran for what seemed like a year before dipping into another cabin. This one had furniture, and electricity, and fearful that someone was here I left and took a slow jog towards the lake.

I got there and wondered how I was going to get away. I didn’t see any boats around or a dock for that matter. Looking around I saw that the dock was actually halfway to the other side. I was about to start walking the shorter way until I saw two lanky trees in the middle of the road. I looked up and saw the sirens. I turned around and took the long way. This isn’t what I expected to be doing this weekend. I was getting really hungry and had no food, I saw a snack bar and took a bunch of candy bars. I ate three of them and started jogging towards the docks. For a while nothing happened but then I heard screaming ahead of me and me being the hero type I am, ran towards the scream and realized too late what was going on.

It occurred to me that the monster could imitate animals and people. When I got to the location I was a little cautious, so when I saw it I ran between its legs and got away unscathed. I ran for a while then slowed down to a jog, and eventually a walk. The dock wasn’t that far ahead now but the creature was walking very slowly behind me, so I made a run for it. I got on a jet ski that, for some odd reason, had its keys in it. I started it and rode away really fast. I thought to myself, “Haha! Yes I got away!”. But I thought too soon.

I glanced behind me and saw the creature wading through the water towards me. I tried to speed up, but I guess I was going as fast as it could. I tried some maneuvers to get rid of it but that didn’t work. So I thought back, it has speed, can see me, and has my scent. I figured it out. I jumped into the water knowing that my scent would be lost. I stayed down there until I thought it was safe. When I came up the creature was gone. I took the jet ski to the shore and started towards my tent.

Then it went black.

I woke up, Francis was next to me and we were in the tent. I heard the siren again. Even though I knew what was going to happen I woke Francis up. We went through him saying he would go check out except this time I said I would go with him.

“Okay, but take this.”, he said, handing me his P19.

We went out there and went in the direction of the siren, towards the cabin. We got there and, no surprise here, the creature was outside waiting for us.

“What do we do?”, I asked.

“Attack it.”, He said

“No, I have a better Idea.”, I grabbed a rock and threw it away from the tents. It took the bait.

We ran towards the tents, grabbed most of our stuff, and drove towards the highway. I looked in the rearview mirror and saw the creature chasing us. I slammed on the brakes, flipped into reverse, and rammed the creatures legs and just kept going.

“What are you doing!?”, Francis yelled.

I ignored him, put the car in drive, and waited. The monster got up and turned towards us. It took a step and I revved the engine. It started running at us, and I drove, accelerating as fast as possible. The timing of its foot hitting the ground wasn’t the best. Its left foot hit the top of our car, not hard enough to kill us, but hard enough for a dent, and he tripped. We kept going, hit the highway and sped off not worrying about the laws until we were far enough out. We talked about this the whole ride home. We came up with a name for the creature. Siren Head, because it had a siren for a head.

We told our children this as as tory warning them to be careful when in the wilderness. So hopefully they took it more seriously then I would have if it were told to me. I told my wife what happened later and she thought it was a joke. I kept telling her that it wasn’t. When we were Thirty-two she killed herself after finding out about our son's drug related death.

Eventually I gave up. I went back to the forest where I encountered Siren Head. I went to the cabin knowing he still had my scent. I started yelling stuff like “I know that you know i’m here, so come get me!”. I guess that eventually he had enough, or he got mad that I called him a coward. I turned around to leave and ran into his leg.

To my surprise he actually started talking. At first it was jumbled and inaudible. But when it became clear I was shocked.

“I am not going to kill you.”, He said, in a deep voice that I recognized for some reason.

“But why? Wasn’t I supposed to be your first victim?”

“You were, but you got away, and for that I will let you live. For now.”

I left and called Francis. I told him what happened, and he was very surprised also. Over the years I have gone back to that spot to just see if I can talk to him, he wasn’t around. One day I was scrolling through social media and saw a picture of Siren Head on a hill in a graveyard. I didn’t say anything but I screenshotted it and showed it to Francis.

We told our story to our grandchildren, and our great grandchildren. They told it to their children and grandchildren too. Our story has been going through our family for two generations now.

I appreciate you reading this, it’s the only memory my grandfather has left and eventually he will lose it also. So now I’m writing this in the journal he wrote it in hoping that when someone finds this they will know that Siren Head is real and very dangerous. He is not to be messed with.

Once again, thank you for reading, and please pass this information on, save some lives.
