weave your magic spell, oh coffee!

"Waiter, there's a crystal ball in my coffee"
Soothsayers and mystics swill black gold

Before they see the future, and so do I
A jolt to the brain; to see beyond the veil,

Or at least be able to spell more than 'cat'
A swirling vortex in a potterized mug

The steam rising like the mists of time
Faces visible on your reflected surface

Take a magic carpet ride without leaving,
The sun is brighter, life tastes better,

All things seem possible; quest for fire,
All with the slammage of the first 12 ounces

After it begins, feel the waking sensations
Course through your veins from on high

Jitter-bug remedy, lead me where you will
For medicinal purposes, my slumbering ass

"Oh, tarot card coffee, show me the answers,
Or if not the answers, make me half-sane!
