When the fae came down from the moon in the 1930's, they claimed to have been on earth long before humans. They had simply decided to move to other worlds, such as the cold face of the moon, to make room for the humans to have a chance at life. After a series of peace talks with president Roosevelt, the fae are given a sliver of the west coast under one condition: they build a wall around Neverland.

A few decades later, and one half-human, half-fae, who goes by the name Het, is coming of age in the mental ward of Shepphard Hope hospital in Fell's Haven, Oregon. On the human side of the wall, where the fae are scarce...

As he comes to terms with his fluid gender identity and reconnects psychically with his father, Het is forced to pretend to be trans gender in order to survive graduation. Will he be able to finish growing his wings, something that only five fae women are known to have at a time? And, what does it mean for the fae monarchy now that a biological male is a contender for the throne?
