This is a poem I had to write for my AP English Literature class inspired by a poem titled "The Eagle" by Alfred Tennyson. I tried to have fun with it while still staying somewhat true to form. Let me know what you think!

Clear ballerinas spin and twirl,

Their weightless, drifting tendrils curl,

Bright, brilliant banners unfurl.

They fear no god, no death, no man,

Unwitting of the ocean’s plan,

Infinity their lives shall span.
