Under streetlights there are tree lights
We have packages in tow
As we busy ourselves, shopping.
It's Christmas, You know?
In the highlights of the Moonlight
We truck-on together
Cold and excited
And loving the weather.
In the Moonlight, past the tree's lights,
The cold bites the nose
As we make our way home
With our wrappings and bows.
There are Carolers on the corner
Doing their part
While the Santa rings bells
For donations from the heart.
And our Angel for the treetop
It will shine from the glow
Of the tree lights that we'll hang,
'round and 'round, in a row.
Then laughter's on the menu
With love served from the heart
At our annual reunion,
It's family, Ali-cart.

Beautiful imagery. Leaves me with a warm, nostalgic feeling. If only winters could be like they used to be, then maybe holidays would be like they used to be, too.
