Just the stain

Upon society

A mother loses her daughter

And is only left with me

Not too often a call

Around that horrid anniversary

The day I came to find her dead

On the other side of a locked door

I knew that it all went down hill

Right there

Stuck in a time

Hoping to find

Anything different this time

Hoping to say

That I saved you

Feeling hopeless enough

So I have forsaken you

One thing that I did that you told me never to do

Like it wasn’t going to happen to you

Left you alone to die

Then started a life

Living a lie

For your mother

I am sorry
