Would you drown with me
Within the sterling, pearly
Lustrous luminescence
Of the mystical moon?
Would you stroll with me
Along meticulously manicured
Perfumed pathways of petals
Of a gorgeous garden?
Would you sincerely search
To find within me a firm friend
A punctilious paramour
On whom your heart can depend?
Would you turn an errant eye
To my fragilities and flaws
A slightly snaky spine
Teeth not all accurately aligned
Would you dance with me
In my ruby red shoes
Run raving weirdly wild
To hide, confide in furtive fog
Would you gleefully, gladly
Gratefully grasp
My seeking, searching hand
To lovingly lead me
Would you quietly quicken
My somber, sorrowing soul
Battered and beaten
With a rousing, rapturous kiss
Would you look for me
In stardust and moonlight
And daydreams and twilight
I wistfully wait for you.
