Can we give ourselves
One more chance
And pick our brains
Up off the floor
Discover in each other
Something richer than
A lover
Extinguish the blazing
Buildings
Stitch and glue and
Meld and weld
the slashed
Torn and tattered
Remnants of
our radiant resplendent
Souls
That old fashioned word
Tastes effervescent
On my tongue
Nectarous and sweet
Would you dare to
Share with me such
A rare titillating treat?
