I am fake

When I take too many drugs,
my masks slip away.
Such is the pain
of my false display.
You've discovered my darkness,
so what happens now?
Will you regard me with pity,
lose respect somehow?

I agree with Criss. I feel like everyone in one way or another. Nobody wants anyone to know exactly who we are deep down inside but substances usually make us lose control of who we are trying to portray on the outside

Yes but although that is true, I believe there's still more to say about the medicinal use of prohibited substances (and unprohibited alike).

This is a really interesting poem. It got me thinking. Are we fake when we're straight and real when we are not? I'll have to think about it for a while, but I'm too cynical to believe in reality at the moment.
