Article about menu planning

What is a menu plan? Why should I do it?

  • A menu is like a list of meals for each day of the week, and each you can plan something different. What is so great about it? It’s great if want more organization during the week when it comes to meal planning.

  • Or if you’re tired of the same old meals and want something different, or tired of running to the grocery store everyday for meals. It’s also great because you come up some themes too.

  • Why should you try doing a menu plan? It’s so helpful to have organized meals during the week, you only have to run to the grocery store once. It’s a stress-free way to cook during the week, it’s fun coming with different themes, you’ll have something different each week, it’s great for busy moms, or busy weeknights, and it’s easy

  • I was one of the moms who went grocery shopping everyday for meals and until I found menu planning it completely changed my life and the way I cook; I love it and you’ll too.

  • Anyone can put together a menu plan it’s easy, you grab what recipes you wan either from Pinterest, or Food Network, or even a recipe book, whatever you have on hand and write down. Or do a themed week where do comfort food week, where you do a whole of of comfort food, or if want to just a night you can Italian night, Taco Tuesday, Mac Monday, Sandwich Saturday, Soup Sunday, or Wacky Noodle Wednesday. I find personally find that themed nights or week works best for me but do what suits you best.

  • You’re family will also love menu planning because they will be looking forward to a different or new meal every night versus the same old, same old. And it’s such a great thing to have in your life.

  • You’ll also as a cook look forward to cooking different or new meals for your family and you’ll begin to love and want to do it every week which I strongly advise you do.

  • Can I plan out a menu plan two weeks in advance? Absolutely, if you find that this will help be more organized and will help you definitely do it especially if you run a busy family. You can plan your menu as far in advance as you please.

  • I work all day long and don’t have time to can I still do a menu plan? What I suggest you do is in your spare time like a night or on a day off you pre-plan your menu plan on a laptop, phone, or tablet and copy from there and write it out or print it out.

  • Also, if you don’t have time to do a menu plan, you go to Pinterest and search menu plans and they have pre-made ones already there ready to go, or you can search the internet as well. I use a great app which is available on iPhone called Mealime and it creates a menu plan for you.

  • Meal planning helps you be more efficient at deciding the quantities of meals your family will consume, and this keeps you from throwing away food. Planning your meals is a great way to reduce food waste and save or your grocery bills while helping the enviroment.

  • Menu planning can have a big impact on your health, your budget, just by eating at home more often. With menu planning you’ll know what your meals will look like and what you need to buy and that makes grocery shopping become more efficient and cuts down unplanned trips to buy one or more items.

  • Menu planning is such an everyday staple in the kitchen it will help you and your family so much and I encourage everyone to try it once you do you’re going to love it.

  • So, inclusion, it’s probably one of the best things you can do that will help you in your everyday life, spread the word and before you know it everyone will be meal planning.
