john is a hunter from a starving town. what will he do when he sees a nearby town that is full of food

Enough is enough

in a land far from ours, where the sun never sets the town of Romier sat shaking their heads. The crops would not yield, the fruits would not grow. The fish were not swimming and the hunters were without prey.

The town sat puzzled and hungry day after day. A hunter named John came across a nearby town. One where hunger seemed like a problem of the least.

To say that they had food was a massive understatement. They gorged themselves on more than ten peoples fill. They sat and ate all the day through.John sat and watched as they ate a whole feast, down to the smallest peace of yeast.

He watched them gorge down a turkey, next a summer ham, he sat in disbelief as in minutes they ate a whole entire lamb. When they were done they picked their teeth with the bones. John could not believe that all this food was real.

John got up and asked , “who is in charge here”. Everyone pointed to man that was most large. This man was not just big , that would be very kind, this man was the size of ten or more men. He looked down at john puzzled as can be.

The giant man stated “this is the town of Goliath and these people look up to me”. “ Why have you come here, for what do you seek”. John answered “ I am only john a humble hunter but where I come from we have nothing to hunt this winter”. “ in my town of Ramier hunger is all we know”.

“ I am not asking much just enough to get us through”. At this the leader got upset. “ We have no such to spare, we are starving ourselves”. With that john walked off his head down low thinking about all the food he had been shown. John went home to his town in a shamble , whether his town would survive was unknown.

John sat hungry in his bed, wishing that the town of Goliath had helped out instead. A noise was made outside, a noise so loud it shook the bed. He looked outside and to his surprise he saw the leader of Goliath. All the town’s people cowered in fear, afraid that their end might soon be near.

The leader spoke, and it sounded like a mighty roar, “ John I misjudged you , I did not believe the true danger this town was in”. “ I came to you today, to tell you that like your town ours was in a shamble”. “ not because of hunger but exactly the opposite, one could say we had food in the most, our town ate day after day the people growing in size until our bodies could no longer take anymore”. “ the hunters could no longer hunt, The fishers could no longer fish, the farmers could no longer farm”. “ it seemed our people were causing their own harm, I knew our town had only one chance, I bring to this town of Romier half of our entire bounty, I assure you this will be plenty, our town will eat less begin to get better maybe then our people once again will be healthy”.

Too little is a danger, that is for sure but eating too much is never the cure.

In life we have things we can give and we can take, make sure we don’t take so much that it starts to forsake.
